Format a PDF File to be Accessible in SensusAccess
2. Click the "SAML" button.

3. Login with your university credentials.

4. Click the "File" radio button.

5. Select "Choose Files," and select your PDF file from your computer.

6. Click "Upload."

7. Click the "Accessibility conversion" field.

8. Select the "pdf - Tagged PDF (image over text)" option from the dropdown menu.

9. Type your email in the "Email address" field.

10. Click "Submit."

Tip: Tip! Your accessible PDF file will be sent to you via email.
Save the file to your computer to upload to Canvas as the next step.
Upload the Accessible PDF File Into Canvas
11. In Canvas, click the accessibility dial next to the file type you want to update.

12. Either drag and drop or browse for the accessible file type, and upload into Canvas.

Tip! If SensusAccess does not produce a fully-accessible PDF file, please try:
- Editing or converting the PDF into Word format.
- Complete fixes using the "Accessibility Checker" in Word.
- Exporting the Word file into a PDF, and reupload to SensusAccess.
