Italicize Brand Names - Quiz Questions

Tip: Tip! When formatting assessments that contain pharmacy brand names or generic names, please keep in mind that brand names need to be italicized. However, generic names do not need to be italicized.

Please review the Prepare Exam for Instructional Design instructions for more information about formatting Canvas assessments.

1. In a Canvas assessment, click "Edit."

2. Click "Questions."

3. Click the pencil icon to edit the question.

4. Highlight the word you want italicized and click the "Italics" button.

5. Click "Update Question."

6. Click "Save" at the bottom-right.

7. From the Canvas quiz or exam, click the pencil icon next to the question.

8. Next, click the pencil icon next to the answer you would like to italicize.

9. Next, highlight the word in the answer to be italicized and then click the "Italics" option in your toolbar.

10. Click "Update Question" to save your changes.

11. Click "Save" at the bottom-right.
